The Cosmos is a user-created collaborative encyclopedia of astronomy and cosmology. The site focuses its gaze not only on the celestial objects themselves, but also on the techniques and technology used to study them, the theories surrounding them and the people and organisations conducting the research. We also delve into the global world of space exploration, from its earliest beginnings, to the present day. Contributors are always needed, so if you think that you might have anything to add to the site, please make yourself at home amongst the stars. There is much work to be done here, and, like the universe itself, the site will evolve and change over time; but time we have.
